An alumnus of VJTI, Mumbai Dr. Mantha was HOD of Mechanical Engineering at VJTI where he taught for 2 decades. Subsequently he was appointed the pro vice chancellor, SNDT Women’s University by the Government of Maharashtra.
He joined All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in March 2009 as its Vice Chairman and took over as Chairman, AICTE on January 5, 2012. He successfully initiated CMAT exam, which has become the largest MBA exams in the country after CAT.
Dr. Vijay Khole has a unique combination of excellent academic career along with outstanding achievements in academic administration at the national as well as international level.
Dr. Khole completed his education upto postgraduate level in the University of Pune and went on to complete his Ph.D. in Bio-physics from Supreme Attestation Commission, Moscow, USSR in 1981.
Dr. Khole has over 26 years of teaching experience exclusively at post-graduate level and has published 60 research papers in inter-disciplinary areas like Biophysics in national and inter-national journals. Important academic contributions of Dr. Khole include establishment of Department of Information Technology which conducts various Under-graduate and Post-graduate programs. Dr. Khole has been a member and chaired many State level Committees constituted for Universities in Maharashtra. He is also a member of UGC.
Air Marshal Pranab Kumar Barbora PVSM VM ADC was former Vice Chief of the Air Staff (VCAS) at Air Headquarters. He was formerly the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of IAF’s Western Air Command (WAC) and Eastern Air Command (EAC). He is currently designated as “ CHANCELLOR” of Rajiv Gandhi University ( RGU ) , Arunachal Pradesh.
A dynamic personality whose belief in fighting as a team, led to increased interaction between WAC and the other Army Commands of Northern, Western and South Western Commands resulting in the successful culmination of some flag-bearer joint exercises - ‘Achook Waar’, ‘Udaan Prahaar’ and ‘Hind Shakti’. The command continues to provide air support to Army units deployed in the glacier region.
Among other accomplishments achieved during his tenure as the Chief of IAF’s largest operational command include the reactivation of Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) airfield after over four decades of closure and that of the Fuk Che Advanced Landing Ground (ALG). The Su-30 MKIs also operated from Leh – unarguably the highest airbase in the world during his tenure.
Under his command, WAC achieved very high aircraft utilization rates even as night operations by the fighter and transport aircraft increased substantially.
He is the first personality hailing from the North East to reach such a coveted high post in the Armed Forces. Air Marshal Barbora is a recipient of Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) and Vayu Sena Medal (VM).
Born in Karachi area of undivided India, and moved to Bombay after partition, Mr. Nanik Rupani started from small beginnings, to become the Chairman of Neutron Electronic Systems Pvt. Ltd and Chairman of Priyadarshni Academy, a socio-cultural organization. He is in the board of directors of many concerns and a trustee in a number of Institutions.
As a visionary, he has brought the Priyadarshni Academy into a global institution. He had the unique honor of presenting a portrait of late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, to Parliament for installation in Central Hall of Parliament and addressing the Parliament in 1993. Ltd. which focuses on the Financial Services segment and develops web-based applications and portals mainly for Banks, Life Insurance Companies and Asset Management Companies.
He is also a member of TIE and a member of the Banking & Finance Committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). He was the Chairman of the Information Technology Committee of BCCI for two years ending June 2009.
